Remainder (billete sin firmar)

A printed note that never entered circulation: it is typically missing one or both manuscript signatures, the year of the date, or the serial number. It is distinct from a specimen — marked and perforated — or a proof — a plate or color test; a remainder is simply leftover paper from a plate, bank, or issue that closed, as with this collection’s $1 and $5 obsolete-bank notes.
