Heraldo Binario lists high asking prices for Mexican coins

Heraldo Binario (11 October 2026) cites asks of up to 90,000 pesos for a Bicentennial 20-peso. They are listings; the note warns they do not guarantee a sale.

Heraldo Binario (opens in a new tab) (Dither Nava, 11 October 2026, 15:39) gathers high listings for Mexican coins on platforms and specialist venues in October. The note itself warns that a published figure is not a real sale price. None of the pieces it names is identified in Notofilia’s virtual collection.

What the note cites

It mentions the Bicentennial of Independence 20-peso, family C1, with listings of 20,000 to 90,000 pesos on portals when the coin is uncirculated and lustrous. It speaks of a 1993 50-centavo with a supposed date error (1893) and asks for authenticity checks. It cites the Emiliano Zapata 20-peso (“Tierra y Libertad”) with listings above 80,000 pesos when it keeps a capsule or packaging. It also mentions uncirculated Bicentennial and Revolution 5-peso commemoratives (Madero, Iturbide). Those figures are asks or estimates the note attributes to experts; they are not hammers.

Where to sell, without polishing

Heraldo Binario points to numismatic houses, conventions, and specialist platforms, asks for an independent appraisal and compared offers, and warns against cleaning or polishing. The Mexico City convention and Banco Azteca’s ounce figures already separated advertising from a closed sale. This note publishes no serial, no certificate, and no hammer.
