Heraldo Binario prints October ranges for the ounce
Heraldo Binario (29 September 2026) gives approximate buy ranges: 35,000 to 39,000 pesos for a gold Libertad ounce and 450 to 550 for the silver one. The bank’s page does not post that tariff.

Heraldo Binario (opens in a new tab) (Dither Nava, 29 September 2026) writes that in October Banco Azteca pays, as an approximate reference, between 35,000 and 39,000 pesos for a 1 oz gold Libertad and between 450 and 550 pesos for a 1 oz silver Libertad. Smaller sizes, the note says, are valued in proportion to the fine metal. It presents those bands as figures that move with the centenario, the ounce, and the exchange rate. It cites no table from the bank and no time of day for the check.
What the bank does publish
Banco Azteca’s page “Mi Plata en Bóveda” (opens in a new tab) describes buying and selling the silver Libertad ounce. It says the selling price is the one in force at the branch, that the coins must be in good condition, and that the maximum buy or sell amount equals 500 dollars. The custody service asks for identification, proof of address, and an opening minimum of 30 coins. That page does not publish a gold Libertad tariff, or the ranges of 35,000 to 39,000 and 450 to 550 pesos.
Those figures stay what they are in the note: approximate press references, not a quote read on the bank’s site on 3 October 2026. Anyone selling should check the day’s price at the branch. This note does not set a market value for the ounce, and these coins are not in Notofilia’s virtual collection.
What the teller checks
Heraldo Binario adds that a branch checks weight, measurements, and the edge, and that the piece has no chemical alteration or heavy scratches, and that the customer brings valid identification (a voter card or a passport). The sign in the photo is from 2022: it announces the silver-ounce service. It is not the October 2026 quote.
