Diario de Navarra (opens in a new tab) (Ana M.ª Esparza Aós; the note is marked as updated on 1 October 2026) reports that the silver €5 coin for Spain’s world title was on sale again on Tuesday 29 September. The stock counter fell quickly, and by midday the shop listed it as unavailable once more. The FNMT, the paper says, reported that the maximum mintage had not yet been reached and that further batches would go on sale in the following days. The issue was first noted here on 29 July. It is not a piece in Notofilia’s virtual collection.
What the shop shows
On 3 October 2026, the “Campeones del Mundial FIFA 2026” (opens in a new tab) page (ID 92967070) in the FNMT-RCM online shop showed 272 pieces available, at €73.00 (€60.33 before VAT). That stock figure is the online counter on that date: it changes with every restock and every sale. It is not a secondary-market price.
925 silver, in proof
The FNMT press note of 29 July 2026 (opens in a new tab) sets the coin: 925 fine silver, the balance copper; weight 13.50 g, with a tolerance of 0.20 g; diameter 33 mm; reeded edge; proof finish; colour on the reverse; and a maximum of 50,000 pieces. The authorized sale price is €60.33, VAT excluded. The shop page gives the module as 4 reales.
The obverse carries Felipe VI’s portrait facing left, the legend FELIPE VI REY DE ESPAÑA, the year 2026 between two dots, and a beaded border. The reverse carries the FIFA WORLD CUP 26 logo, the circular legend CAMPEONES DEL MUNDO, the trophy in colour, a five-pointed star over strokes in the flag’s colours, the face value 5 EURO, the mint mark, and a second star. Diario de Navarra recalls the issues for the 2010 World Cup, the 2023 Women’s World Cup, and Euro 2024.
