Replacement / star note

A banknote printed to replace a faulty note pulled during manufacture. It is identified by a star beside the serial number or by a reserved letter prefix — such as Z on several issues. This collection’s 1994 Emberá 10,000-peso notes are serials 00113227 and 00249902, each with a star.
